While Dad Is Away The Kids Will Play

We have been trying to occupy our time at all times of day while dad was gone for 2 weeks.

We went to see Despicable Me...notice Grant took Buzz Lightyear with him:)

We celebrated dad's birthday lunch (without him, of course) after church at his favorite place...Costco and texted him the pic!

All the boys have spent hours making Lego stuff.

Instead of driving to the airport and just picking up dad we spent an hour watching the planes take off. The boys squealed every time one flew by:)

Birthday Shopping for Dad

We decided to surprise dad with an archery bow for his birthday this year. While he was gone on his 2 week business trip we jetted off to Bass Pro Shop. To our surprise they were having a free kids expo day. The boys got to cast fishing poles into buckets, shoot BB-guns, and do some archery themselves. Unfortunately, we couldn't share the pics with dad while he was gone or we would have given away his present.

Crack me up...the twins waiting to shoot a gun!

Fun in the West Village

We finally made time to stop and see our best buddies, the Halpins, and love on their new bundle of joy...Jonah! It is always fun to get together with them because the boys have such a great time. We met up at a cool little pizza joint that let the boys play with pizza dough while we waited for our pizza to cook. We passed sweet Jonah around and took pics of the three big boys conversing. After pizza we had a change of plans and decided to take the free trolley around to our final destination...the Dallas Museum of Art. The trolley ride was lots of fun and something we will definitely have to go do again. When we arrived at the museum we realized that we were there with half the city of Dallas. We stayed long enough to listen to some fun music and make a craft and then we were back on the trolley and off to our cars. Rachel and I decided we would have to do this again, but add the fun little shops to our list:)
I asked the 3 boys to let me take their pic and Grant decided to make a funny face.

Grant's dough creation.

and Preston's too.

Me with sweet Jonah...he is such a little peanut. I sat there holding him thinking back to the fact that I had 2 little ones just like him...wow!

Rachel let Connor take a turn at holding Jonah. She made Connor's day although it only lasted 10 seconds:)

What a day:)

Summer Update Via The I-Phone Camera

I know that my last post was ages and ages ago, but we have been so totally busy once again this summer. As soon as school was out the boys were once again presented with Hawaiian Falls passes so we have spent many days in Mansfield swimming. Speaking of swimming, the twins are officially floatie-free. One night with Honey and Papa and they were begging to go swimming so that they could show off their cannon balls and swimming. We finished up baseball for all 3 boys and just in time before it became scorchingly hot. The twins were presented with their first trophies...I don't think they quit smiling for days! We spent July 4th with Uncle Philip's in-laws at Lake Granbury and had a blast once again. We spent two nights this year and saw lots of fireworks. Below are a host of pics from my I-phone because I am a loser and have forgotten to take the camera with me all summer thus far. Thank goodness for new fangled camera phones:)

Obviously this pic was taken before the summer. We purchased flip flops for the boys and Grant found green ones...he didn't take them off for some time.

Snow in Midlothian

Practicing before baseball season started. Grant didn't catch the ball so he proceeded to throw a fit in the middle of the field.

Guess who caught the ball...Preston!

Connor had the privilage of holding the Christian flag at the closing VBS ceremony.

We celebrated Ms. Keri's b-day at a hibachi grill...even though Grant isn't smiling in this pic, they all had a ball.
