Grant the Cook

Whenever I am in the kitchen, you can count on Grant being right by my side. He loves to sit and watch and if given the chance the opportunity to do just about anything. This particular time I turned my back for just one second and the child was laying sprawled out on the counter checking out the cook-top. You just can't turn your back even for a second with the lil' rascal.

Doug does floors

It's amazing what I can get my husband to do every now and then. He finally thought the floors were so bad that he bought me some stone cleaner and got after it. LOVE HIM!!!! He scrubbed and I wet-dry vacuumed the floor right behind him. The floors look 10,000 times better.

Valentine's Parties

This has been Preston's favorite time of the year and you ask "Why?" Valentines Day, of course. My little man just loves celebrating the month of love and PINK:)
I bought "Dinosaur Lovasaurus" t-shirts for the twins to wear to their party. Preston asked where they came from and I told him I bought them. He responded with, "I am going to school to tell everyone my mommy bought me this dinosaur."

Unfortunately, I scheduled myself once again during one of Connor's parties at school. He has reminded me not to ever let this happen again. I feel awful:( Here he is decorating a cookie for himself and me!

The fill-in momma...thank goodness for Honey!

Trying to hide from homework

The picture tells it all..."Sometimes homework just plain stinks."

Small Change

We have been in our house for almost 6 years...hard to believe. I love my dining room, but I have always thought their was to much dark wood and needed something to break it up. FINALLY, the time arrived that I convinced Doug to buy a rug! It is amazing what a rug will do to a room:)

Sickly Grantsters

All three of the boys have spent their fair share of being sick lately. It started with Connor on a Tuesday and by the following week all the boys had gotten the bug. Grant is pretty much over the fever part, but now he has a lingering cough that just won't go away. I sent everyone to school today and decided that Grant was going to have another day with mommy:) He was so excited to get spoiled another day and I have to admit even though I was still paying the church for his spot I was glad to have him home! We ran errands in preparation for the upcoming birthday party and called Honey to plan a lunch date for the lil' guy. I told him we were going for sandwiches and pizza and he was totally pumped until he saw the pizza. It wasn't your average cheese pizza, but the Subway kind. He ended up eating one small piece, but the pics below show what truly happened with Honey around.
The "I am not going to have it" face...
The "I have Honey wrapped around my lil' finger" face. She felt sorry for him and caved in and bought him Cheetos for lunch...rediculous...that would have never happened when I was little!

The Countdown has officially begun...

Grant and Preston have been so excited for months about the fact that they were going to have a birthday and party. The time has finally arrived that I am tired of telling them how many more days so I took a friend's bright idea and made a paper chain countdown with Preston. First, I got on a great website that you can print off tracer pages for your kids and typed the days left till their birthday and then the phrase "Happy Birthday."
Preston traced each number and then the Happy Birthday

He wanted it to be just perfect:)...notice the pink crayon (his favorite color).

Showing off his great work

We hung the final product on the refrigerator and every day to a loop off till the big day.
We interchanged green, Grant's favorite color, with pink, Preston's favorite color!!
