STREP!

Poor Preston came home from school Thursday complaining of a sore throat so I looked at it and thought maybe strep was brewing, but off we all went to play legos. He just wouldn't let it go and kept complaining and laid on the floor like he was dying...so I broke down and called the doctor thinking we would get an appointment the next day, but they had one 30 minutes away at 5:45pm. By the time we got to the doctor Preston had a fever and was definitely positive for strep. So glad we got in that night and got some medicine for him and me since I had a scratchy throat and had been kissing all over my precious boy. Preston went to bed and woke up totally fine, but couldn't go to school because he had to have 24 hours of medicine before returning to school...so he got to hang out with mom allllll day. He was beyond excited to say the least. It all boiled down to him playing video games and occasionally yelling from the bedroom, "Momma...I love you!" He is so sweet:)

Don't I look sick?

All Star Fun Run

The boys' school fundraiser for this year was a fun run. Although we chose not to raise money due to the costly expense of participating we still had fun during the school day activity. I went to the school for both the 1st and 4th grade runs to help with passing out water and marking t-shirts for each lap completed. The boys all completed 36 laps which was equivalent to 2 miles. So proud of them!

Grant and Preston told me they could have crazy hair and I only half believed them so we just gelled their hair funny. Grant got a mohawk and Preston had hair sticking straight up like a porcupine!

Oh The Things We Do For One Good Shot!

Doug was actually in town one Friday when I worked at the boys' school. Fridays during football season you are suppose to wear your Midlothian school shirts to show support to the football team. I knew the likelihood that we would all be dressed alike would be slim to none so I had Doug take our picture. One would think that this would be one picture and we would be on our way to school, but not at the Black house! I had to show all of the pics because they are to to funny:)

This is the one I like...but here are the rest.

HaPpY BiRtHdAy CONNOR!

This year Connor had two parties to celebrate himself turning the BIG 1-0. Doug and I took the boys along with two of Connor's friends, AJ and Konnor, to Alley Cats. This place is a grown-up version of Chuck-E-Cheese. They all played a game of bowling, video games, and 4 rounds of laser tag and then on the way home we stopped at a local QT gas station for icees. Connor didn't quit smiling about that get together for days. Then the second party was deemed the family party. We had everyone to the house for pizza and cake. All the cousins had fun playing together as usual.
