My Little Bakers

The twins and I decided to make pumpkin cookies while Connor and Doug were away at the deer lease. They helped me poor everything into the mixer and punch out the cookie shapes and then last but not least ICE the cookies. I think it took me as long to clean the kitchen as it did to make the cookies...flour was everywhere!

Halloween Night

Halloween night finally arrived after several Halloween festivities. Shelley and her family came over to the house as usual, but poor Jake was running a fever so he had to stay home with Honey:( The Sills also joined us since our neighborhood seems to be the happening place to be. AJ and Connor ended up leaving the group and going house to house by themselves. They are getting so big! All the kids ended up with bags full of candy. So much so that I made mine pick some to keep and we got rid of everything else.

Mansfield's Halloween Carnival

After spending a few hours at our church's carnival we met Shelley and her family at Chick-fil-a for a quick dinner and then went to Mansfield, TX Halloween carnival. They had probably 10 bouncy things for the kids, more food, and cars that the boys could smash. Connor used a 10 lb sledge hammer and put a few dings in the beat up car and had a blast, but the fun wasn't over. Doug was given a 100 lb hammer that he could barely lift onto his shoulder and hoist over leaving huge dimples in the car. The little boys stood to the side and chanted for the big boys to hit harder. It was fun for the boys to be able to hang out with their cousins all dressed up. To top of the night the boys and Shelley shared 2 funnel cakes.

Hillcrest's Hallelujah Carnival

This was a full day for sure! Part one was spent at our church's Halloween carnival. This was the best one yet for sure. They had several bounce houses plus a bungie bounce that only Connor got to do. The twins went straight for the miniature ponies and took a spin while Connor stood in line to bungie. We tried to convince Connor to flip while high in the air but he never got enough steam built up to do it. Needless to say the boys started their collection of candy for the night and had a great time.

Celebrating Halloween School Style

This year the boys decided to dress like Jack Sparrow, Motorcyle skull dude, and Green Lantern. Connor's costume was a stretch for me to buy, but he is totally at a weird age and doesn't want to be anything the little boys would be into and isn't old enough/big enough to wear the adult costumes that are funny. I had the pleasure of planning Grant and Connor's Halloween parties at school since I am their room mom. Both of them said they had a great party so a pat on the back to me:) Papa came to hang out with Grant and Preston while I floated between the two parties. Next year I have already decided that they will be in the same class because this is one of many things that stink about having two kids in the same grade in different classes.

Welcome To The Jungle

Connor's 4th grade school musical program was late during the fall semester of school. The title was "Welcome To The Jungle". All the kids were asked to dress in character which was one big headache. Connor is officially hit some pre-teen hormones. I swear some days he is totally fine and others he acts like a crazy hormonal girl! I asked him for weeks what he wanted to wear and don't you know the day before the program he decided he would wear a plastic bear nose with a solid color shirt and jeans. I guess that is better than nothing. While we were waiting for the program to start Papa and I were entertained by the twins and some of their school friends. I have blackmail now:)

Green Day At School

Grant was so pumped that it was green day at school because if you haven't learned by now that is his favorite color. Connor was less than thrilled to be participating:)
