Connor asked Jesus into his heart several months ago and we just have not made it a priority to get him baptized. Last week, I received a phone call asking if we wanted to have Connor baptized on Easter Sunday. I got all excited and then worried at the same time because I thought we would never be able to get my family to come due to Easter obligations at their church, but it all worked out! Praise the LORD!!! Connor has been pestering us as to when this great event was going to happen for some time...so when I picked him up from school and broke the news you couldn't get the smile off his face. Sunday arrived and Preston couldn't understand why Connor would be wearing his swimsuit to church. We told him he wasn't going swimming, but he wouldn't believe us. On the way to church I reminded Connor that if the pastor asked him a question to remember and use his manners..."Yes Sir and No Sir." Connor replied, "I know mama." Unfortunately, right in the middle of his baptism the preacher asked him, "Connor have you received Christ in your heart?" and Connor replied boldly,"YEP." I stood there so proudly thinking you have got to be kidding me. UNBELIEVABLE...MY CHILD SAYS "YEP." Doug was in the baptistry with the preacher and Connor and the preacher said,"That's just Connor...a good old boy." This is something Connor will never be able to forget!

LOVE that Boy...and I am so heart-broken to have missed this HUGE day in his life. Even Easter morning, I was trying to figure out how to make it and then be back here in time for our service. I was there in spirit!
That is so awesome! What an amazing moment for you as a mother! This Easter will be a memory for your family forever! How sweet!
So proud of him! Give him a hug for me. What a neat memory for all of you! I know Honey & Papa were proud! Your sweet boy ALWAYS waves to me if he's standing in the car line when I drive through. He's so sweet!
