A Sick Day Spent With Mom

This week started off on a bad note. Preston ran a fever all weekend yet somehow still was bouncing off the wall:) Monday he was officially diagnosed with Strep throat. Tuesday I had a much needed hair appointment with my sister for some coloring and so since Preston had been on antibiotics just shy of 24 hours and couldn't go to school he got to tag along with me for the day. Once we dropped off the other two boys at school it finally dawned on him that it was just the two of us...he was soooo excited. He packed up some of his train set and the TAG reading books we have (the pen reads the books for him) and off we went to Mansfield. I don't think that I have ever seen that child behave so well in my entire life. Aunt Shelley was pretty amazed as well:) Before we left Preston posed in the chair with Shelley and gave us an impromptu peace sign. I asked him where he learned that and his response was, "Connor."

Preston wanted to know how high the chair went:)

After I got colored we stopped for a very quick bite at Chick-fil-a and then off to pick-up Grant. As soon as I walked in Grant's room he announced that he made a Bible today. While we waited in the carpool line at Connor's school to pick him up I pulled the Bible out of his backpack and read it to the boys. It was a seven page Bible that he colored about what God created on each day of the week. Check the twins out...remember Preston didn't go to school:)
