If you are reading this then you probably already know what has been going on with my extended family the last two weeks. My granddaddy or to my kids their grandbuddy got suddenly sick and went to heaven last week. We still don't know what caused his death, but we do know that he fell (not sure if he hit his head), became suddenly sick with pneumonia, and passed away. He was diagnosed with a stroke, seizure activity, intubated, and never woke up. He was a DNR and the family decided to take him off of life support and let him go where he has wanted to go for a couple of years...HEAVEN to be with our Lord and Savior!
Granddaddy's favorite bible verse:
Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct they paths.
Proverbs 3:5-6
Granddaddy was the person to go to if you needed someone to pray...I think he had a direct line to God:)
I included pics from the last two weeks. Some people may not want to see them, but I don't want to forget all that happened!
Honey and Jax in the waiting room of Presby Dallas' Neuro ICU. Jax loved walking around...with someone:)

Jax found a new toy that Grandmother had...a cane. She would have to set it out of the way so that he wouldn't wander off and hit someone with it.

I hesitated telling Connor how sick Grandbuddy was, but I knew that he would want to visit him. I am so glad that he had this opportunity. This was the last time Connor saw Grandbuddy alive. He stood there the entire 20 minutes he was allowed before the ICU closed for shift change and held his hand.

Connor holding Grandbuddy's hand...

Grandmother and Granddaddy...he was so puffy.

Connor in his assumed position. He felt so bad for Grandmother because she was crying that he wouldn't leave her side unless someone told him to. He is so sweet!
This is family night at the funeral home.

Connor insisted that I take his picture with Grandbuddy and Grandmother said that would be "perfectly fine!"

This is the only time the twins saw Grandbuddy once he got sick. I allowed them to come into the church before anyone got there and say goodbye. During the service they had a babysitter in the nursery. I told them we were having a goodbye party for Granddaddy and that we would see him again someday in Heaven! Grant wasn't quite sure about looking at Grandbuddy since he was dead, but Preston and Connor wanted to touch him one last time.

After the burial service, we went to my grandparents house to eat lunch their church provided. It was the best Baptist cooking ever! We didn't keep a close eye on the kids because they know where they are and aren't allowed. This is where we found four of the kids when we went looking for them...in the backyard playing someones DS:)
