The Hunting Life

After several Christmas stops the boys were literally exhausted. It got to the point that we would get in the car and 5 minutes later the were sleeping. Two days after Christmas we loaded up and off to the deer lease for three days. Unfortunately nothing was killed, but we still had a great time. The boys got to shoot guns and I got to go hog hunting at night...awesome. This time Keri, Jason, Hannah, Doug, and I went out and got surrounded by a bunch of angry pigs, but with the help of two guns they left us alone...LOVE it! We spent time at the lease with the Meeks and Standards. All the kids had a great time and didn't get into to much trouble.

Kearney Christmas

The Monday after Christmas we got together with the extended family to have Christmas with Grandmother. We finally had a traditional meal of turkey and dressing that was so yummy:) Connor helped Grandmother and played Santa by handing out presents to everyone. Doug and I received a $50 gift card to Texas Roadhouse from Grandmother and she also sewed some table runners for the girls to pick from. My reserved self waited until everyone else picked thinking the older adults would go first and then work down to the younger...but that was a free for all frenzy:( Next time I will learn to stand up for everyone for sure! I still love what I got, but it doesn't go with anything...maybe the next house.

Santa Connor and Grandmother ready to go.
The boys with cousin Caleb and Rachel

Connor received a belt watch from Grandmother. He loves it.

Caleb is a few months older than the twins. They love each other!

Silly Boys!

Black Christmas

This year we met up with Doug's family at Uncle Russell and Aunt Laurie's house. We had mexican food for dinner and opened presents then the kids ransacked the house. They always have a great time together because they are all around the same ages...love it!

Uncle Doug and Sweet Garin

Connor got an xbox game.

Grant and Preston got new imaginext dinosaurs that they wanted.

David and Connor got knives from Uncle Russsell and crew. This is their excited dance.

Christmas at Honey and Papa's

Honey and Papa always spoil the boys with lots of presents. This year we barely walked in the house and the twins were given their own BB gun. What more could a almost 7 year old want? Papa has taken them shooting before and supposedly they are pretty good aims:) We ate our traditional big breakfast and then opened presents. The boys played with some of their new toys and then Shelley's crew took naps while we layed around. I ended up cooking our next stops dinner and off we went. There isn't a pic of what I got since I was the one taking pictures, but I received several Vera Bradley bags and a sewing machine. I don't have a clue what to do with a sewing machine, but I asked for it so I would learn. So excited!

Jax and Uncle Doug....cheese!

Jax, Jake, and Preston watching Alvin and the Chipmunks.

Jax needs ear protection for all the noise:)

Aunt Shelley bought Connor a swiss army knife. This is one of the few things Connor wanted for Xmas.

Papa is so kind to give everyone money every year. This year he gave the boys each $50. WOW!

Christmas Morning

On Christmas morning the boys woke up at 6:30am and played fast and furious with their new toys until we were off for a very busy day. We went to Honey and Papa's for breakfast thru 3:30pm and then took off for Saginaw to Uncle Russell and Aunt Laurie's house. We ended up getting home somewhere around 11pm...I think!

Connor just realized he got an Xbox with Kinect.
