The first day of warm spring like weather without gusting winds or a hint of rain...YIPPEE! We have longed for weather like this. The boys and I both are so tired of staying couped up inside the house or trying to find stuff to do inside away from home. Connor came home from school yesterday and as soon as he finished his homework I summoned everyone outside until dinner. At first the eldest was not quite happy with me because he just wanted to sit and rest from a long day at school, but he quickly got over himself. The twins and I started off with some practice hitting in preparation for t-ball season. I think with a little more practice we will have 2 good little hitters. The twins then saw Connor with a rock drawing on the driveway. They quickly started assessing the situation and trying to find rocks for themselves. Before I knew it we had 3 boys having the time of their lives.
Grant wrote his name. I was impressed because he wrote the "G" and "R" before requiring help with remembering what came next. That is HUGE for him. He just doesn't want to learn anything. Next year should be a lot of fun:)

Preston wrote his name. He gets his "S" turned around, but not bad.

Connor then had a novel idea. HOPSCOTCH! He ended up drawing 3 hopscotch boards back to back and then taught the twins how to play. I haven't laughed that hard in a while. Preston's interpretation of hopping was...well...like a walk:) Grant tried really hard at jumping on 1 then 2 feet.

Preston then decided if Connor could draw a hopscotch board then he could. I am not sure who's foot could fit in his spaces, but when questioned he said it was for his toes:)
