HERE BATTER BATTER BATTER

That's right...baseball season has started once again. Not only is Connor playing this Spring, but the twins are starting t-ball too. Doug got home from training in Virginia Friday night and we all headed to Academy in Arlington to stock up on baseball gear. We stayed there about an hour and a half before I said this is enough and we left as the store was closing. The twins are beyond excited to say the least. We got home at 10:30 that night and they were ready to go outside and play some ball. Grant is going with a red theme...red batting helmet and bag with green bat while Preston has the blue them...blue batting helmet, bag, and bat. Their cleats are the littlest things you have ever seen. Doug insisted they could wear tennis shoes, but I had to disagree. Doug replied, "As long as they look nice what does it matter if they can really play." That's my nice looking color coordinated boys on the field...you know all those other moms are watching:)
Headed for baseball evaluations

Doug and I almost fell down laughing in the parking lot because the twins were trying to figure out how to carry the bags that are as big as themselves:)

Preston taking his turn catching a grounder and throwing it bag to the coach.

Grant's turn throwing the ball.

Connor looking on as his twin brother's wait patiently in line.
The twins are in red right behind Connor.

The 5 year old group waiting in line to bat. The twins are the last in line.

Preston getting ready to smack the ball.

Grant's turn at hitting.

The twins did well at running the bases. Several of the kids ran to the pitcher's mound or straight to 2nd. It was pretty comical to say the least. Doug and Connor directing Grant to 2nd.

After running the bases...aren't you suppose to go to the dugout? That's what my baseball watching boys did, but they were actually suppose to go get back in line to hit again. Connor had to go fetch them out of the dugout and put them back in line:)

The end of a GREAT day!

GREAT pics! Wish we lived close enough to come catch a game some time.
