During spring break we had a date with our best buddies, the Halpins. Thank goodness we finally had a nice day to venture outside so we met up at Owen's Farm in Richardson. There aren't many places to get together between Richardson and Midlothian outside except The Arboretum and the Dallas Zoo...both of which we opted out of since they would be so crowded with spring breakers. All the boys got to feed the goats breakfast oats. Some of the big goats were so excited to see us that they put their front feet on the top of the fence just begging for a bite. Connor and Preston jumped right in with the feeding frenzy, but Grant was way more apprehensive. It took about 5 minutes of me talking him into it before he decided that his hands weren't going to be taken off by the goats:) After feeding time, we enjoyed a hayride and looked at several types of birds. By mid-morning we then drove around the corner to a local park and let the boys play. We had sack lunches and got to catch up. The boys favorite part of the park was getting to play with sticks like they were swords...who needs expensive play equipment!

Getting directions on how to feed the goats.
