Splitting Wood

Doug and the boys have been to our friend, Herb's, property to chop firewood so now it is time to split the wood into burnable size logs. I took a little nap with the twins one afternoon and woke up to the 2 big boys in the pic below splitting firewood with a professional machine. Whoever knew there was such a contraption. You simply put the log on the mechanism and move a lever which moves a sharp piece into the log and causes it to split. Herb had been the lever mover until the boys woke up and Connor got home from school and then he got demoted! The boys had the time of their lives and the 2 big boys thought it was pretty fun to watch the little boys too.

Preston got the most time behind the lever. He was a PRO!

All the boys waiting their turn.

Are you watching Grant? This is how you do it.

This is FUN!

I am not sure about that one Grantsters!

Connor patiently waited until last.

Several of the logs looked like a HEART...pretty cool!

You know you're getting old when your kids start flashing signs in pics.

Another day...Mr. Jason Meek came and cut more wood with us.
BRING ON THE FIRES!
