Christmas Eve - Just The 5 Of Us

For weeks we have been reading many many kid books about the true meaning of Christmas. The boys all understand that Christmas isn't just about gift giving, but that it is Jesus' birthday. On Christmas Eve we have made it our special time to exchange gifts between just the 5 of us and then retire to bed asap so that Santa can come. This year all three boys were able to buy gifts from the Santa store at school and only I knew what some of the gifts were other than the giver. We had an awesome time and the look on some of their faces was absolutely priceless! The boys went to bed around 830ish and Santa didn't come until close to 1130 because the boys were oh so giddy!
Grant received silly bands from Preston which is what he gave Preston...love those Grant looks.

Preston getting his silly bands from Grant...look at those dimples. Grant was so proud of himself.

Preston gave Connor a wooden flute...he loved it.

Grant wanted to help Daddy open his gift. He came home telling me that he bought Daddy a belt, but it was a lanyard that said "I love dad"...so cute!

All Grant wanted from the school store was a GREEN HULK pillow. As soon as Connor gave him his bag he knew instantly what it was:)

Connor bought Doug a "Dad" ornament.

I received a purse mirror from all the boys:)

The happiest boy ever!

The most loving children...for the moment.

Doug and I give the boys one gift each year and this year the twins got legos and Connor got a toy skeet shooter.
