This week at school they have been celebrating Red Ribbon Week by dressing in different attire. Monday was construction worker day. Tuesday was camo day. Wednesday was wear black and bring a flashlight day. Today was wear red day and tomorrow is dress up like your favorite character day. Today in conjunction with dressing up in all red they had an assembly and gave awards for the best dressed student and teacher. Connor has played along dressing up in whatever I laid out for him all week and had fun with it, but today when I told him I was going to spray paint his hair he thought I had lost my mind. After much convincing he said it would be okay if I sprayed just the front of his head and then after examining himself in the mirror he ran back and told me to spray his entire head. Thanks to mom's initiating he was picked to come to the front of the assembly for everyone to vote on him as best dressed. I'm still not sure quite where he ended up, but he came home with a clapper prize.
Side note...my baby's favorite color at school is pink and so therefore he painted his pumpkin pink today...we have some work to do:(
