Unfortunately, I didn't think ahead and ended up having to work on Labor Day this year which wouldn't normally be a big deal, but this year it was my big boy's birthday:( He was mad at me and I was even more upset with myself. This is the first year that I have ever not been with them on their big day. In order to try and make it up to him I bought his "big" gift and Doug and I gave it to him the eve before his birthday so that he could enjoy it while I was gone. He really didn't ask for anything, but I knew he wanted an electric scooter...so that is what he got! The twins and I went shopping by ourselves two days before and they actually kept the secret from Connor. I was so very proud of them!
